“I’m not telling you, ‘Never eat a hamburger.’ Just eat the good ones with real beef, … And it’s so good that when you take a bite out of that burger, you just know somewhere in the world a vegan is crying.” Homer Simpson

Every day I passed an electronic billboard that would post inspirational quotes on it as I drove to work. Most days I glanced, read them quickly and forgot them 2 minutes after I read them. One day I saw one and it stuck. “Everything I have learned about life can be summed up in three words. It goes on.”  Robert Frost. I thought that’s it! The basic, bottom line statement on life. No flowery prose, universal inspirations, or biblical references. That was the one the truly made sense.  So much so, it became my first tattoo. I see it every day and it reminds me no matter what, life goes on. It’s all how you see the world. Trials and tribulations of everyday life can be overwhelming but every morning you have a fresh start to tackle it.

Everyone has a story. So do meals. It can be a creation from the heart for someone special, or it can be what’s left in the fridge. Combining both stories is the most fun. The someone special can be family, friend, or in a lot of cases, yourself. Why be mundane?

Tonight’s menu; Stuffed Blue Cheeseburgers with sautéed onions, Sweet Potato and Bacon Puffs, and a Red Lettuce Salad.

Check in later!

Be well!
